Anti-Money Laundering

Anti-money laundering (AML) refers to the laws, regulations and procedures intended to prevent criminals from disguising illegally obtained funds as legitimate income. Though anti-money laundering laws cover a limited range of transactions and criminal behavior, their implications are far-reaching. It is important to identify the system in place to report suspicious activity as well as an understanding of the impact on society.

At this meeting participants will review

  • SAR’s (suspicious activity reports)
  • Bank Regulations and the US Agencies oversight
  • AML reporting and auditing
