Qualified/Non-Qualified Plans

Qualified and Non-qualified plans are essential planning tools for business owners and owners of business who employee highly skilled individuals who are key to the success of nay business. In more times than not the success of a business is paramount on the retention of such individuals. In addition, many employers today provide 401(k) plans to employees. These plans offer individuals the advantage of contributing payroll deduction tax deferred for later distribution. All these different variations of plans in some instances offer tax advantage savings to both employer and employee.

  • Different types of qualified and non-qualified plans
  • Tax treatment of plans
  • Different types of trust
  • Rules determining how plans can be implemented

  • Whether plans are tax favorable or not
  • Insurance vehicles used to fund non-qualified plans
